I was so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. He was a dear friend and I will miss him.
I met Bob over 35 years ago through friends who worked at the bank with him. He coached them on the softball team and that's how countless of us got to know Bob. He came to coach the slow pitch softball team that I joined and we have been friends ever since. Throughout the years he coached both West Broad and Bricker's and he was friends with not only the players but also the coaches. After all the games we would all hang around either at the field or go to a restaurant or Bar. There were many weekend tournaments where we were all together and the memories of laughter I cherish. As we got older and no longer played softball we got in touch with Bob and invited him to events, picnics and Christmas gatherings every year.
Him and I would have lunch together throughout the years where he would reminisce about softball and how much he enjoyed coaching. He was a good guy with a sense of humor. He was devoted to taking care of his Mom as long as he could. Obviously Covid played a part in us not seeing Bob as we used to in previous years but him and I talked on the phone and he would fill me in on what was going on. In the past, he would often leave a function without saying good bye. The next time I saw him I would say, where did you go, you just disappear and he would laugh. So Bob I will not say goodbye....until we meet again. Dena

I am so sorry for your loss. Bob was a loyal and dear friend to all of us. I can vividly remember all of our great times with him during our slow pitch softball days. But my most special memories of Bob were at my kitchen counter on many a Christmas night gatherings. We would laugh, reminisce, and catch up on each others lives. He was a really good man with a huge heart!
I will miss you Bob-rest in peace. xoxoxo Pammy
