One of the most pleasant memories I have of my mom is her working in the garden on McNeil Terrace among the flowers and birds. She was happiest digging into the earth and watching flowers bloom. I can still see her standing with a trowel in her hand, gazing at her blue and white iris bordering the tiny pond under the chokecherry tree. Paula
