Obituary of Mary C. Martone

Bridgeport Resident Mary C. Martone, age 94, of Bridgeport, passed away on Friday April 20, 2012 at Masonicare of Newtown. Born in Bridgeport on November 07, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Theresa Scairretta Fortuna. Before her retirement she was a waitress at 3030 Park Health Care for many years. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, walking and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include two daughters, Marion Timko and her husband Richard of Newtown and Sally Ann Martone of Southbury, two grandchildren, Dawn Olson and Dori Boucher and her husband Francis, five great grandchildren, Jade, Jordin and Jerica Olson, Ryan and Jamie Boucher, two great great grandchildren, Angel Jade Olson and Rylee Renee Olson, a special cousin, Mary Abraham of Bridgeport as well several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by five sisters and two brothers. The family would like to thank the staff at Almost Home of Danbury and Masonic Care at Newtown for all their care and compassion. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St Margaret Shrine, Bridgeport, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Relatives and friends may call on Monday from 4-8 p.m.
