Obituary of Viola Martire

December 17, 2008 Bridgeport Resident Viola Postiglione Martire, age 92, of Bridgeport, died Wednesday, December 17, 2008 in Cambridge Manor, Fairfield. Born in Norwalk on December 1, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Josephine Parisi Postiglione. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Frank Martire Sr. Survivors include two children, a daughter, Barbara Santacroce and her husband, John of Bridgeport, a son, Frank R. Martire, Jr. and his wife, Marisa of WI, five grandchildren, Deane and his wife Maryanne, Marisa and her husband Paul, Johnny, Frank, III and his wife Elena and Jason, six great grandchildren, Dominic, Kyle, Julianna, Griffin, Alessandra and Drake, as well as several nieces, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews, great great great nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by three sisters, Margaret, Clara and Ann and two brothers, William and Armand. The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude and love to the entire staff of Cambridge Manor for the care they provided. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Patrick Church, 851 North Ave., Bridgeport on Saturday, December 20, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. Entombment will follow in the Chapel Mausoleum of St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends can visit after 8:00 a.m. on Saturday morning at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
