Obituary of Gilda C. Palatiello

Gilda (Cennamo) Palatiello, age 98, of Trumbull passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Gilda was a beloved wife of 68 years to the late Albert J. Palatiello, Sr. Gilda was born in Bridgeport on May 28, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Gilda (Remo) Cennamo. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend of many. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include four loving children, Deborah Clarkson of Groton, Albert J. Palatiello, Jr and his wife Diane of Trumbull, Constance Jones and her husband Peter of West Redding and Michael Palatiello of Madison, her cherished grandchildren, Alexei Palatiello and his wife Laura, Albert J. Palatiello III and his wife Kimberly, Brett Jones and Jennifer Jones, Alissa El Sayed and her husband Omar, Jenna Palatiello, Michael Palatiello Jr and Vincent Palatiello, adored great grandchild, Albert (Ives) Palatiello IV as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends, too numerous to mention. In addition to her beloved husband Albert, she was also predeceased by her siblings and their spouses, Mary and Ernest Alterio, Jack and Irene Cennamo, Gerald and Cecelia Cennamo, Nicholas and Marge Cennamo, Ralph and Anna Cennamo, Gerard Cennamo, Josephine and Joe Monaco and Latterina Cennamo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. in Christ the King Church, 4700 Madison Ave., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Long Hill Burial Ground, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
