The Moran family has given me the most memorable of memories that will always be cherished. Those Bronx Avenue Days of the 60s growing up in that neighborhood surrounded by her family and friends will not be forgotten. The outdoor parties and picnics they had showing the camaraderie and how they stuck together added to those wonderful memories, I missed that Mary smile on the back porch directing Steve how to hang clothes . Didn’t mean to break all those garage windows while playing basketball, but it happened. The family love their garden and fruit trees, particularly that apricot tree and fig. Learn to appreciate them to this day. God bless you my first neighborhood family . And as Mary would say. God bless America.

Mayor Mary Moran was truly "The People's Mayor". She brought commonsense and incorruptibility to her public service and always had the best interest of the citizens in mind when making a decision. Mary was always a presence that lit up the room with her personability and excitement, and always displayed a genuine interest in the concerns and hopes of those with whom she interacted. She was truly one-of-a-kind and will be missed by all. Rest in Peace. With deepest Sympathy and Condolences.

Steve (and Family) ~
You may not recall, but my sister, who is a resident at Northbridge, my brother and I recently shared a luncheon with you and your Mom - I believe it was for Mother’s Day. I didn’t immediately realize she was our former Mayor. She was lovely, happy, and so full of life. I was happy to know your Mom for that short period of time.
My deepest and sincere sympathy.

With my deepest and most heartfelt sympathies to all of you. I had the pleasure of working with Mary for several months. I found her to be such a sweetheart and a firecracker. She always greeted me with a warm smile and hug and even though I was there for her, she was the consummate hostess always asking if I would like something to drink or eat. “Help yourself” she would always say. She was so proud of you, her family. She glowed when talking about you. Even though I met only Mary and Stephen, I feel as if I “know” all of you because of how she talked. May you find peace for your heartache in your memories and may the love she had for you help ease your grief.
In sympathy and in friendship,
Lisa LaGaipa

Hi Lisa - this is Sheri, Mary's oldest daughter. Thank you very much for your beautiful message. Most people knew our mom as "Mayor Mary," but she was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who taught us about what is truly important in life: faith, family, friends, and forgiveness. Our lives will not be the same without her, and we will miss her very much. But we take comfort in knowing that she is with our father again, and no longer suffering.
