Obituary of Kyleigh Helena Leos
Loving Daughter, Sister & Aunt
Kyleigh Helena Leos, age 18, of Trumbull, beloved daughter of Jay and Dawn Ackley Leos, after a long and courageous battle passed peacefully with her devoted family by her side on Tuesday, July 9, 2013. Born in Bridgeport on October 31, 1994, she was a member of the 2013 graduating class at Trumbull High School. Kyleigh was a sweet and happy girl who never complained. She loved everyone, except for bullies and bigots and was a loyal and steadfast friend. She had a quiet nature, hiding her tough spirit underneath. In addition to her devoted parents, Jay and Dawn, survivors include her loving sister, Kyera Leos of Trumbull, cherished nephew, Gabrial Ebert, maternal grandfather, Glenn Ackley of Stratford, maternal grandmother, Sunrae McLean of Durham, uncle and aunt, William and Tori Ackley of Fairfield and cousins, Samantha, Charlie, Sarah and Mandy and her beloved extended family in Queens, NY and Boston. Kyleigh also leaves to cherish her memory, her special hero, Michael Gonzalez and his wife Kelly of Stratford as well as her many dear friends. She was pre-deceased by her paternal grandparents, George and Sarah Leos, maternal grandmother, Shirley Ackley, maternal grandfather, Ralph McLean and aunt, Tamie Ackley. The Leos family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the doctors, nurses and staff at the Yale New Haven Childrens Hospital, PICU and 8 West for their, professionalism, care and dedication. The most important thing to do to honor and cherish Kyleighs memory would be to register to be an organ donor and encourage others to do the same. Funeral Information
