Mass of Christian Burial
Obituary of Dianne E. Nolte
Dianne Elizabeth Mary O’Connell Nolte, wife of Charles, mother of Jennifer, Carrie, and James, grandmother of Henry and Jacob Nowicki, daughter of Paul II and Elizabeth Brennan O’Connell, passed on to her reward on March 3rd, 2024. A graduate of Dusquesne University in Pittsburgh and with a master’s degree in education from Fairfield University, Dianne spent all of her adult life as a dedicated educator, teaching 1st, 2nd, and 5th grades in Pittsburgh PA, and in Darien, Fairfield, and Bridgeport CT. Nothing brought her more joy or pride than teaching; she always strove to give her best to each of her students.
Dianne engaged in her community often: she was active on the PTA, co-chaired school fundraisers, and got involved in local politics. For a time, she served as director of the CEO Foundation, providing scholarships to local schools, before returning to teach at Holy Family School in Fairfield and St. Ann Academy in Bridgeport. She was dearly loved, and will be dearly missed, but will remain forever in our hearts.
