Obituary of Marjorie E. Pontillo
Marjorie E. Teschner Pontillo, age 86, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Louis Pontillo Sr., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 with her loving family by her side. Born in Bridgeport on March 14, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Lucy Gorringe Teschner.
A music lover, Marjorie enjoyed singing and dancing and was an entertainer with the Golden Follies. A very simple person, she enjoyed playing cards, bingo, trips to the casino and New York City with friends to attend shows/plays and loved her scratch tickets. But above all she cherished time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her two loving children, Deborah Venditti and her husband Gino and Louis Pontillo Jr. and his wife Penny, three loving grandchildren Steven Venditti and his wife Virginia, Nicole Mollica and her husband Marco and Lyndsy Pontillo, three adored great grandchildren, Fiona, Castin and Giancarlo, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Frederick Teschner and her great granddaughter, Olivia Venditti.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Stephen's Church, 6948 Main St., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Saturday morning from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
