Obituary of Daniel J. Williams III

Daniel J. Williams III, age 67, of Stratford, beloved husband of Linda Arsenault Williams, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 22, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Bridgeport on September 9, 1955, he was a son of the late Daniel J. Jr. and Marguerite Rowan Williams. He was a graduate of Fairfield Preparatory School Class of 1973 and went on to earn his BS from The College of the Holy Cross Class of 1977.

Dan was a retired sales manager for Nortel Telecommunications and was also formerly employed by AT&T. He was also the owner and operator of Verizon Wireless in Stratford.

He was a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather. Dan enjoyed spending time with his family and his smile could light up the room when his granddaughters were by his side. They brought him joy beyond measure. The unconditional love he gave will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at Memorial Sloan Kettering and Yale New Haven Hospitals for all of the professional care and compassion shown to Dan during his four-year battle with cancer.

In addition to his beloved wife Linda, survivors include his four loving children, Daniel J. Williams IV of Stratford, Kaitlyn Papachristos and her husband Gregory of Monroe, Kara Murray and her husband Daniel of Yardley, PA and Alexa Williams of Stratford, his two cherished and adored granddaughters, Sophia and Zoe Papachristos, a sister, Elise Kokoszka and her husband Jon of MA, and their children Lauren and Brian a brother, Kevin Williams and his wife Beth of VT, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Joseph and Debbie Arsenault of SC and his children Autumn, Shannon and Brett. He was predeceased by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Janet Arsenault.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. directly at Notre Dame of Easton Church, 640 Morehouse Rd., Easton, CT 06612. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday from 4 – 7 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. In lieu of flowers., memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center P.O. Box 5028 Hagerstown, MD 21741-5028.
