Obituary of Ana Maria Moura
Ana Maria Moura, age 89, of Shelton, beloved wife of Domingos Germano Moura, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 4, 2023 with her loving family by her side. Born in Padornelos, Montalegre, Portugal on May 8, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Domingos De Moura and Maria Goncalves Seara DeMoura.
A seamstress by trade, Ana was formerly employed by Acme United and the City of Bridgeport Dinen Memorial Center. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She always put the needs of her family before her own. The unconditional love she gave and the values she taught will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her beloved husband of 63 years, Domingos, survivors include her three loving children, Isabel M. Moura of Shelton, Domingos Germano Moura and his wife Maria Amelia of Shelton and Ana Moura Suarez and her husband Alejandro of Shelton, five cherished grandchildren, Domingos John Moura and his wife Lisa, Ashley Marie Moura-Davis and her husband Adam, Ariana Melina Suarez Moura, Alexandra Milena Suarez Moura and Ana Maria Suarez Moura, three adored great grandchildren, Ella Lucinda Moura, Jonathan Adam Davis and Elijah Domingos Davis. She also leaves to cherish her memory siblings, Helena De Moura and her husband Antonio, Domingos De Moura and his wife Isabel, Jose De Moura and his wife Maria all of Portugal, sisters and brothers-in-law, Virginia De Moura of Bridgeport Manuel Moura Goncalves and his wife Manuela and Maria De Moura all of Portugal, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins in the U.S., Portugal and France. She was predeceased two brothers, Antonio and Joaquim De Moura.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 429 Huntington Rd., Bridgeport. View the Mass via livestream: olf-Bridgeport.org. Entombment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, St. Catherine Mausoleum, Trumbull. Relatives and friends can greet the family on Monday from 4 – 7 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
In lieu of flowers, remembrance may be made directly to Our Lady of Fatima Church, Bridgeport or to your favorite charity in Ana's memory.
