Obituary of Margaret Chuckta

Margaret Romano Chuckta, age 69, of Woodbury, CT, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2023, after a difficult fight with cancer. She was surrounded by her entire family, to whom she was immensely devoted.

Margaret was born on July 10, 1953, to Thomas and Catherine Pisacreta Romano in Bridgeport, CT. She grew up in, and raised her own family, in Monroe, CT. Margaret dedicated 45 years of work to St Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT, where she cherished many lasting friendships with her co-workers.

Margaret will be remembered for her biting sense of humor and her amazing laugh. She was always up for a fun time with her friends and family, surrounded by good food and even better drinks.

Margaret leaves behind three grandchildren – Stella Chuckta, Margaret, and Olivia Williams -, two children – Michael Chuckta III and Caitlin Chuckta, two children in-law – Marissa Mackowski and Ryan Williams - a brother, George Romano – a sister, Kathleen Lucey – a sister and brother in-law, Candace Romano, and Richard Lucey – her husband, Michael Chuckta Jr. – nieces, nephews, great-nieces, cousins – and her lifelong childhood friends.

Relatives and friends may greet the family at a celebration of Maggie's life on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 from 4 – 7 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. All are invited to a graveside service on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 11 a.m. directly in St. John's Cemetery Moose Hill Rd., Monroe.
