Obituary of JoMarie A. Pcolka

JoMarie A. (DeProfio) Pcolka, age 71, of Orange passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at CT Hospice in Branford surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of John J. Pcolka. Born in Bridgeport on October 17, 1951, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Marie (Mandell) DeProfio. JoMarie enjoyed traveling and trips to the casino. She looked forward to spending winters at her second home in PGA Village in Port St. Lucie, FL, where she built many friendships. Her greatest enjoyment however was found in the time she spent surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend of many. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her beloved husband John of 49 years, other survivors include her loving children, Brenda Ferrante and her husband Vincent of Shelton and John Paul Pcolka of Orange, her cherished grandchildren, Santino and Giacomo Ferrante, her sister, Carol Pcolka and her husband Steve of Greensburg, PA and her brother, Bill DeProfio and his wife Sharon of Derby, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph DeProfio.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Margaret Mary Church, 50 Donovan Lane, Shelton. Interment will follow in Mount St. Peter Cemetery, Derby. Friends may greet the family on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
