Obituary of Lora J. Bartult

Lora J. DelVecchio Bartult, age 107, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Edward Bartult, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 3, 2022. Born in Bridgeport, on July 14, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Francesco and Josephine Roberti DelVecchio. Lora was a retired employee of General Electric.

After her retirement, Lora became a volunteer at St. Vincent's Medical Center. She would go on to volunteer for over 35 years and well into her 90's. She found great fulfillment in helping others. She was also an active member in the Loyal Order of Moose, where she served as secretary.

Survivors her nieces and nephews, Patricia Pagliarulo and her husband Patsy of Trumbull, Judith Bonner and her companion Nick Pecorelli of Bridgeport, Frank DelVecchio and his wife Judy of Monroe, Gary DelVecchio and his wife Jennifer of Easton and James Ligouri and his wife Jeanette of New Hampshire, as well as several additional great nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her siblings and their spouses, Ida DeSalle and her husband John, Anthony DelVecchio and his wife Lucy, and Elsie Ligouri and her husband Louis, nieces, Marie Baldino, Louise Stankiewicz, Joanne and Gregory D'Agostino and great nephew, Christopher Bonner.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at 11 a.m. in St. Margaret's Shrine, Bridgeport. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd. Trumbull.
