Obituary of Carmela Casa Regina

Carmela Casa Regina, age 85, of Monroe, beloved wife of the late Louis Regina Jr., passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at St. Vincent's Medical Center surrounded by her family. Born in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Rose Romano Casa.

Along with her husband Louie, she owned and operated Trumbull Cleaners for over 50 years, she was a well loved member of the community and a dedicated member of St. Theresa Church in Trumbull where she taught Catechism class for many years. Carmela was an avid reader but what she enjoyed most was to cook and bake for her family, who thoroughly enjoyed her specialties. She made many memories traveling all over the globe with her husband and their many friends. Her greatest loves were her grandchildren whom filled her with love and pride. Carmela touched the lives of so many people and she will be deeply and sorely missed.

Survivors include her children, Louis Regina lll and his wife Lisa Ann of Monroe, Joseph Regina of Ansonia and Lauren Regina Hunter and her husband Kenneth of Monroe, "like a son" Michael Minnock of Monroe and sister-in-law, Adelia Casa of Bridgeport, four cherished grandchildren, Lianna, Veronica, Nicholas and Zachary and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her two brothers, Vincent Casa and Peter Casa.

Funeral services will take place on Monday, September 26, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Jude Church, Monroe for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Sunday, September 25, 2022 from 1-4 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
