Sister Janice Nadeau, SSND

February 23, 1934 – May 8, 2022

     Sister Janice Nadeau, (formerly Sister Mary Jovita), a member of the School Sisters of Notre Dame, died on May 8, 2022, at Northbridge Healthcare Center in Bridgeport, at age 88.

     After pronouncing her vows in 1955 in Baltimore, Sister Janice served as teacher and Pastoral Associate in schools and parishes in New York and New Jersey.  She retired to Villa Notre Dame in Wilton, in 2009.

     Sister Janice is predeceased by her parents Cleophas and Marie Nadeau and her two sisters, Sister Yvonne Nadeau, SSND and Theresa Walkup (David).

     Sister Janice is survived by her nieces, Donna Fish (James), Linda Larue (Steve) and nephew David Walkup (Jamie).

     Services at 10:00, followed by a wake service at 10:30, and Funeral Liturgy at 11:00 will be celebrated at St. Andrew Church on Anton Street in Bridgeport, on May 14.  Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Bethel, Connecticut.
