Obituary of Anthony Burke

Anthony Burke, age 71, of Shelton, beloved husband of Deidre Hanson Burke, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 with his loving family by his side. Born in New Haven on July 11, 1950, he was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, he proudly served his country in the Vietnam War. Anthony was a master mechanic and was formerly employed by the Town of Shelton where he was a foreman in the maintenance garage. After his retirement, he began a career in landscaping. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He treasured time spent with his family and the unconditional love he gave and the memories they created will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his beloved wife of 45 years, Deidre, survivors include his loving son, Brad Burke and his fiancé Heather Lekas and her daughter Alana, three adored grandchildren, Aidan, Addison and Liam, sister-in-law, Rene Hanson, he also leaves his beloved canine companions Jax and Kristi.
