Obituary of Carmela Melina Clericuzio

Carmela Melina D'Agostino Clericuzio, age 79, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of Filippo Clericuzio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 13, 2022 with her loving family by her side. Born in Ariano, Province of Avellino, Italy on May 31, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Raffaele and Nicolina Serluca D'Agostino.

Carmela immigrated to the United States in 1965 and settled in Bridgeport, where she would raise her family. She found great enjoyment cooking and baking for her family and friends. There was always a place at her table for anyone and you never left hungry.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. The unconditional love she gave and the values she taught will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Carmela will be deeply missed.

In addition to her beloved husband of 60 years, Filippo, survivors include her two loving children, Carmelinda Marsh and her partner Jack Gaudio of Bridgeport and Philip Clericuzio Jr. and his wife Denise of Stratford, three cherished grandchildren, Tommy Marsh, Brandon Marsh and Gabriella Clericuzio, siblings, Antonio D'Agostino and his wife Licinia, Grazina Csincsi, Alfredo D'Agostino and his wife Rina and Carmine D'Agostino and his wife Rosa, as well as several nieces and nephews.

All funeral services and entombment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull, were held privately. Arrangements entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, CT 06611.
