Obituary of Manuel Moura Pires

Manuel Moura Pires, age 58 of Bridgeport, passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at his home. Born in Calvao, Chaves, Portugal on September 27, 1963, he was a son of Maria DeJesus Moura Pires and the late Francisco Pires and was a longtime resident of Bridgeport. Manuel made everyone laugh and was always the life of the party. He enjoyed spending time with his family and will be missed greatly by all who knew him.

In addition to his beloved mother Maria, survivors include his six brothers and sisters, Leonilde Rainho and her husband Alcino, Albert Pires and his wife Albina, Jose Pires, Carlos Pires and his wife Maria, Maria DeFatima Pires and Jacinta Faustino and her husband Virgilio as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 429 Huntington Rd., Bridgeport. Friends may greet the family on Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Our Lady of Fatima Church, 429 Huntington Rd., Bridgeport, 06608 or to Manuel's Church in Portugal, Nossa Senhora da Aparecida, Calvao, Chaves, Portugal through the funeral home.
