Obituary of Michael Battaglia

Trumbull Resident Battaglia - Michael J. Battaglia, age 45, of Trumbull, a self employed building contractor, died suddenly on Saturday, July 24, 2010. Born in Bridgeport, he was the son of Dom and Jo Foley Battaglia of Port Orange, FL. Mike was raised in Fairfield and was a graduate of Roger Ludlowe High School. Mike loved windsurfing, kite boarding, boating and fishing. He also enjoyed playing guitar and golfing. In addition to his devoted parents, he is survived by his beloved wife of five years, Kimmarie Cafora Battaglia, a brother, Robert Battaglia and his wife Judy of Stratford, a sister, Debra Amico and her husband Jim of Ormond Beach FL, his brother-in-law, Thomas P. Cafora III and his wife Joanna of Monroe, a special niece and nephew, Calista and Thomas P. Cafora IV of Monroe, his great niece, Sophia Reagan and several additional nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Jude Church 707 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
