Obituary of John M. DeGeralomo

John M. DeGeralomo, age 91, of Bridgeport passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, January 24, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Rose (Marranzino) DeGeralomo. Born in Bridgeport on June 26, 1930 he was a son of the late Fred and Mary (Rizzitelli) DeGeralomo. John had been spent most of his working career as a carpenter but had also been employed by Sikorsky Aircraft for over 12 years in their maintenance department where he built many friendships along the way. A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend of many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his beloved wife Rose of 62 years, other survivors include his loving children, Wayne DeGeralomo of Bridgeport, Robert DeGeralomo of Kentucky, Gail Lampert of Maryland and Gary Rizzitelli and his companion Nina Florio of Fairfield, his cherished grandchildren, Kimberly Guman of FL, Shannon Dingus of Branford and Alicia Jaswaye of Boston, MA, his sister, Diane Raucci of Trumbull as well as several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Brian DeGeralomo and his brother, Fred DeGeralomo.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Friends may greet the family on Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
