Obituary of Manuel A. Liriano

Manuel A (Tony) Liriano Jr., age 66, of Derby, beloved husband of Miriam Miranda Gonzalez, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 20, 2022, with his loving family by his side. Born in New York, NY on October 18, 1955, he was a son of the late Manuel A. Liriano Sr. and Elida Azcona Liriano.

He was an avid New York sports fan. He loved taking strolls along the water, dancing and making people laugh. But his greatest enjoyment came from spending time with family and friends who meant the world to him.

In addition to his wife Miriam, survivors include five loving children, Anthony Liriano and his wife Maria, Michael Liriano, Angela Liriano, Brian Liriano and Justin Liriano, three cherished grandchildren, Alyssa, Manny and Khaleesi Liriano, five brothers, Nelson Liriano, Joseph Liriano and his wife Maritza, Alex Liriano and his wife Jenny, Jay Liriano and his wife Joanny and Richie Liriano and his wife Gigi, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Catholic Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 28, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Mount St. Peter Cemetery, Derby. Relatives and friends may greet the family at a walk-through visitation on Thursday from 5 – 8 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Face masks and social distance will be required. Flowers may be sent but in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Connecticut Hospice at https://www.hospice.com/honor-memorial-gifts/ .
