Obituary of Jennie M. Salerno

Jennie "Jean" Eannuzzi Salerno, age 76, beloved wife of James Salerno of Shelton, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on June 24, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Michael Eannuzzi, Sr. and Jennie (Cichiello) Eannuzzi and was a longtime resident of Stratford.

Jean enjoyed playing pinochle and doing word search puzzles. She enjoyed spending time with family, hosting family gatherings, especially her 4th of July picnics and her favorite, Christmas Eve dinner. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and the happiest times in her life were when her sons got married and the birth of her grandkids. Jean was a loving, caring and devoted wife, she will be missed by all her family and dear friends.

In addition to her beloved husband James of 54 years, survivors include her two loving sons, Matthew Salerno and his wife Brenda and Anthony Salerno and his wife Dana, a brother, Michael Eannuzzi, Jr., two sisters, Mariann Parrelli and Carmella Bugyi and two cherished grandchildren, Anthony Salerno, Jr. and Sara Rose Salerno.

A Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends and relatives may call on Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m.
