My condolences to whole Baghdady family. George was not only a good friend of mines but he was more like a father to me. I first met George in 1988 and he took me under his wing. He was a very special person to me and for that I will never forget him and will always be thankful for what he and his family have done for me. So goodbye for now till we meet again my friend. Rest In Peace. With love & sending my prayers Hector Gonzalez

My condolences to the family! What a beautiful obituary! And his legacy is definitely in his family. I knew George since about 1963 down at YMCA, he was a mentor and a friend. He loved that I would bring Jon and Emily to visit and they would fish on the pond. Besides doing business with him I would stop by just to talk with him. When I had my son almost 40 years ago he told me how important it is to kiss and hug your children. You are in MaryBeth and my prayers.

Jim, thank you so much. More times than I can remember, I have heard of the days at the Y with you, my dad and Paul. I firmly believe that the work put in there and afterwards is what gave him a life of almost 100 years. I wish the same for you. I’m grateful that I was able to make a similar second-generation connection with Jon and Emily on a similar basis. My best regards to all

Joey, George, Ray, Lucy & Dave: George was always so kind and welcoming to me. He always made sure to speak of my grandmother with such respect and admiration. I will continue to appreciate those moments he took to share those connections he had with the grandmother I never knew. I believe he will continue to inspire your own hearts with the wisdom he shared as your father, as well as within the memories each of you built within your lifetimes with him. Love never dies… yet it transforms in new ways. May you continue to live guided by that love that will continue to inspire your paths to model love as he did for you.

Thanks so much Mary. I’m so glad he was able tondi that for you. Right now, the loss is heavy and I am trying hard to be them man he told me to be when this time came. But I’m so lucky that he got to know my own children well enough that I can easily see his wonderful impact on them.
