Obituary of Arthur F. Falbo

Arthur F. Falbo, age 88, of Shelton, beloved husband of Virgilia DeMartino Falbo, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 15, 1932 in Sersale, Catanzaro, Italy, he was a son of the late Michelangelo and Rosa Schipani Falbo. A former member of the Italian Police Department, Arthur immigrated to the United States in 1962. A mason by trade, he was a member of the International Bricklayers Union. 

Arthur was a hardworking man, always providing for his family. He enjoyed spending time in his yard tending to his garden. The unconditional love he gave and the values he taught will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. A dedicated husband, father and grandfather, he will be deeply missed. 

In addition to his beloved wife of 59 years, Virgilia, survivors include his loving son Michael A. Falbo, Sr. and his wife Madeline of Trumbull, three grandsons, Michael Jr., Nicholas and Joseph Falbo, four step-grandchildren, Richard and Jonathan Garcia and Bryan and Brandon Pantojas, a brother, Anthony Falbo of Weston, his dear friend, Lenny Rosati and his wife Jean, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Giuseppe Falbo. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. directly in St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave., Shelton. Entombment will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Darien. A walk-through visitation will take place on Monday from 4 - 7 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Visitors are recommended to wear masks and social distance as they walk through, pay their respects, and exit without lingering to ensure all guests can come through the building. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, www.stjude.org.
