Obituary of Jean E. Pierre
Jean Eric Pierre, age 71 formerly of Jeremie, beloved husband of Marie Gilberte Blaise Pierre of Seymour, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Griffin Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Jeremie, Haiti on July 9, 1950, he was the son of the late Louis Pierre and Euphenie Joseph Pierre. He graduated from Lycee Francois Duvalier and L'ycee Firmin of Port au Prince Haiti. He taught Sciences courses at High school level for a decade. He became an Accountant and worked at Direction General Des Impots until he retired in 2018. He was a church member of L'Eglise Indigene D'Haiti. He did enjoy spending time with family and friends, He participated in charity works. He was a great husband, devoted father and cherish grandfather and amazing friends.
He will be dearly missed by his wife Marie of 46 years survivors include his five loving children, Kerby Pierre and her husband, Erica Pierre and her husband, Gilbert Pierre and his wife, Wendy Pierre and Wesley Pierre and his wife all of Seymour, six brothers and sisters, Ronald Pierre of Indiana, Vania Pierre of New York, Josee Pierre of North Carolina, Eddy Pierre of Haiti, Baudelaire Pierre of Haiti and Elizabeth Pierre of New Jersey and ten grandchildren, Serena Pierre, Ashley Desrosiers, Jason Pierre, Alyssa Eugene, Jared Pierre, Molly Pierre, Hailey Eugene, Aiden Pierre, Kourtney Desrosiers, Wesly Pierre, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A walk-through visitation will take place on Friday, October 1, 2021 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, CT 06611. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 2, at 8:00 a.m. at United Methodist Church of Monroe 515 Cutler's Farm Road, Monroe CT 06468. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, 500 Moose Hill Road, Monroe.
Visitors are asked to wear masks and social distance as they walk through, pay their respects, and exit without lingering to ensure all guests can come through the building.
