Obituary of Ann M. Mikita
Ann M. Cihal Mikita, age 102, beloved wife of the late William Mikita, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at the Jewish Home. A lifelong resident of Trumbull Ann was born in Trumbull on February 20, 1919 and was a daughter of the late John and Pauline Kopalak Cihal. Ann was an avid bingo player and sports fan. She enjoyed watching the New York Yankees and UConn women's basketball. Ann was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother. She loved to cook and bake delicious food!
Survivors include a son, John Mikita (Marleen) of Trumbull and her daughter Mary Ann O'Connell (Brian) of FL, five grandchildren, Melissa Bajda (Christopher), Matthew O'Connell (Leanne), John Mikita (Nicole), Brian O'Connell and Karen Mikita (Christopher Huntoon) and eight great grandchildren, Aiden, Aubrey, Harrison & McKenna O'Connell, Tobey and Bailey Bajda and Avery and Ella Mikita as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her siblings, Charles and John Cihal, Pauline Segall, Wilma Segall and Mary Marcolus.
Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
