Obituary of Allida L. Finnegan
Allida L. Finnegan, age 68, of Monroe, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 7, 2014 at Connecticut Hospice, of Branford following a battle with ovarian cancer. Allida was born on September 20, 1945 in Bridgeport and was the daughter of the late Dr. Paul P. Liscio and Paulette Liscio. A former School Sister of Notre Dame of Wilton, Allida began her 36 year teaching career in East Meadow, NY. She spent the majority of her career as an elementary school teacher at Tashua School in Trumbull. Allida was a member of the Gaelic American Club in Fairfield. In addition, she was also an active volunteer with the Greater Bridgeport Retired Teachers Association, Greater Bridgeport St. Patricks Day Parade Committee, and was a reader at Hall School in Bridgeport. Allida also loved to collect childrens books, travel, and spend time with her family and friends. Allida was predeceased by her husband, Edward C. Finnegan. In addition, Allida, a devoted mother and grandmother, is survived by her three daughters, Maura E. Finnegan and her husband SSGT. David Ulrich and grandson, Conner, of Jacksonville, NC, Megan C. Finnegan and her fiance, Michael OConnor of Reading, MA, and Erin S. Soto and her husband Eliezer Soto, Jr. and grandsons, Colin and Alexander, of North Branford, CT. Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at St. Jude Church, 707 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe on Tuesday, February 11, 2014. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Family and friends may call on Monday, February 10, 2014 from 4-8 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Donations Information
