Obituary of Paul Kolok

Wolcott Resident Paul Kolok, Jr., 69, of Wolcott, CT, died unexpectedly on December 3, 2010. A veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Mr. Kolok was stationed at Camp Lejune, Parris Island and Okinawa. After his time in the Marine Corps, Paul embarked on a career in banking that lasted nearly thirty years. He enjoyed productive tenures with banks such as Lincoln National Bank, Danbury Bank and Trust, New Milford Bank and Mattituck Bank & Trust Company, along the way developing relationships to customers that continued as long-lasting friendships. Paul was a member of the Connecticut Jaycees, the American Banking Association and several community-oriented organizations. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Watertown Country Club for many years. Paul grew up in Byram where, in his youth, he was a member of the Sokol Gymnastic Club and Sea Scouts. His most cherished times were spent with family: his children, grandchildren, his friend, Cathy Daigle, her children and grandchildren and his nieces and nephews who all knew him as Uncle Bud. Mr. Kolok is survived by his 4 children, P. Jefferey Kolok and his wife Natalie of Jericho, VT; Kimberley Ortakales and her husband Paul, of Belmont, NH; Kurtiss Kolok of North Adams, MA; and Kristey Allen and her husband David, of Bethel, VT; 13 grandchildren, Heather, Jeffrey, Jennifer and Anya Ortakales of New Hampshire; Naomi, Johanna and Nicholas Kolok, Madeleine, Bradford, Harrison, Wesley, Connor and Claire Allen, all of Vermont; a sister, Alice Fudale of Brookfield, CT, a brother, William Kolok of Greenwich, CT, a sister, Barbara Tiriolo and her husband, Pat, of Trumbull CT, eight nieces and nephews, and his dear friend, Cathy Daigle and her family of Wolcott, CT. He was predeceased by his parents, Paul Kolok, Sr. and Mary Gillespie Kolok formerly of Greenwich. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 406 White Plains Rd., Trumbull on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at 10 a.m. Interment with Full Military Honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
