Obituary of Paul Rogalin
Paul Rogalin, age 62, of Shelton passed away peacefully on Friday, March 19, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Pamela (Varone) Rogalin. Born in Bridgeport and raised in Fairfield, he was a son of the late Edward Rogalin and the late Maria (Escalona) Rogalin. A U.S. Navy Veteran, he served his country honorably. Paul worked as the Director of Human Resources at Sacred Heart University, where he built many lasting friendships.
Paul's life-long passion was music. A self-taught musician, he was often found jamming on the keys, singing, and playing guitar with his family and friends. He delighted the community playing in several local bands, most recently, The Four of Us. He was a force of positivity, uniting us this past year through his Facebook Live concerts, Paul's 3 Song Live Show (with noodles).
Paul's humor was one of a kind, and he was always ready with a witty remark or a clever "dad" joke. His antics at family gatherings were legendary, and he was known for literally turning things upside down. He enjoyed many afternoons floating in his pool listening to Yankee games. His greatest enjoyment however was found in the time he spent with his family. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, and friend of many. Paul's strength, kindness, and wisdom were inspiring. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his beloved wife Pamela of 26 years, he is survived by his loving children, Caitlin, Emily and Gregory, his brothers and sisters, Stephen (Rita), Patricia (Bert), Edward, Philip (Christine), Monica (John) and Elizabeth (Mark), his father-in-law, Anthony, his brother-in-law, Peter, and sister-in-law, Diane (Tom), as well as numerous loving nieces and nephews. He's predeceased by his parents, his brother, Maurice, his mother-in-law, Janet, and his dog, Max.
