Obituary of Frank J. Alagna

Frank J. Alagna, age 81 of Trumbull, beloved husband of Franca Falco Alagna, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at the Connecticut Hospice in Branford with his family by his side. Born on July 10, 1939 in Ciro, Calabria, Italy, he was the son of the late Antonio and Mariangela Farao Alagna. Frank was the owner/operator of Frank's Auto Repair in Bridgeport for over 30 years, where he specialized in transmissions and general mechanics. He was also a longtime member of the Circolo Sportivo Italian Club in Bridgeport. Above all, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be truly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his beloved wife Franca of 53 years, he is survived by his three adored daughters, Maria DiGirolamo and her husband Dino of Trumbull, Rita DeSabella and her husband Anthony of Trumbull, and Susann Palumbo and her husband Paolo of Monroe, cherished grandchildren, Dino, Dante, and Adriana DiGirolamo, Jenna and Anthony DeSabella, and Frank and Grace Palumbo, his siblings, Nella Pavia, Rose Pavia and her husband Mike, and Peter Alagna and his wife Rosalia, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A walk-through visitation will take place on Monday, January 25, 2021 from 4 – 7 pm at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, CT 06611. Visitors are required to wear masks and socially distance as they walk through, pay their respects, and exit without lingering to ensure all guests can come through the building. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held privately on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull at 11:00 a.m. with limited seating. Face masks will be required and please adhere to social distancing. The funeral mass will be livestreamed at www.sttheresatrumbull.org. Burial will be private.
