Obituary of Theresa A. Cusano
Theresa A. (Ferraro) Cusano, age 90, of Shelton passed away peacefully on Friday, January 8, 2021 at Griffin Hospital in Derby. She was the beloved wife of the late Alphonso J. Cusano. Born in Bridgeport on December 2, 1930 she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Josephine (Vastano) Ferraro. Theresa had been employed by AVCO and later retired from Pitney Bowes after many dedicated years as an inspector. She was a tremendous cook and enjoyed making sure her family was well fed. She enjoyed completing crossword puzzles but playing cards with her family and friends she enjoyed immensely. She also looked forward to the occasional trip to the casino. Her greatest enjoyment however was found in the time she spent surrounded by her family, which included Sunday dinners with her brother Frank and sister-in-law Phyllis and her beloved nieces and nephews, who were her pride and joy. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend of many, she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her loving children, Vincent Cusano, Diane Gannon and her husband William of Shelton and Donna Garofalo and her husband Paul of Ansonia, her cherished grandchildren, Brittany Gannon and her boyfriend Michael Velez, Billy Gannon and his girlfriend Mackenzie Kelly, Brandon Gannon, Elizabeth Arrindell and her husband Charles and Jessica Arrindell and her husband Carlos, her adored great grandchildren, Ann Marie Butler, Adrianna Butler and Julian, Ava, Adrian and Bella Arrindell, her brother Frank Ferraro and his wife Phyllis of Trumbull, her sisters-in-law, Lee Cusano and Carol Kaesmann, both of Shelton, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was also predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Annmarie Cusano and her brother, Andy Ferraro.
