My condolences to Mr. Rosati and Joey, Bobby, Tommy and Melissa and family. What a beautifully written obituary and a great tribute to a great lady. It really captured who she was.
I am so saddened to hear of your mom's passing. I have such great memories of her gregarious personality and of course, her amazing cooking. She was like the mom of the neighborhood to all of us lucky enough to hang around the house on Pilgrim lane when we were kids. I have memories of her and all of you that will stay with me a lifetime. She made a huge difference in the lives of so many. Definitely a life well lived. Even though I have not lived in Stratford for almost 40 years, I have thought of her and all of you and some of the great times and memories I have hanging out at your home and with all of you. I was happy that she got to meet my wife and kids a number of years ago.
With a heavy heart on learning of her passing and with love for all of you, we will keep her and all of you in our thoughts and prayers during this holiday season that she loved the most.

Mrs Rosati: Or as everyone called her JOSEPHINE!!! This person was so much a part of my child and teen years that I could type a book. I chuckled when I saw the part about no one left hungry and I can attest to that one many many times during my teen years. Her hospitality to the neighborhood kids was wonderful. I know she loved the kids as much as her own kids and I for one am so thankful for the times I spent playing games and enjoying those lovely meals she prepared for her family and anyone fortunate enough to be asked to stay if my parents okayed it. My profound thanks to Mr Rosati, Joey, Bobby, Tommy and Mellissa for so many moments of Joy and my sincere condolences for your loss of a beautiful person. :)

To all of the Galluzzo (Donnie and Trudy) and Rosati families, Josephine was such a kind soul, I am sure she is celebrating with her parents Joe and Gerti in heaven, the end of an era at Etna Travel. The memories will stay with me always. .. My Deepest Sympathy.

TO The Rosati and Galluzzo Families:
It is with a very sad heart that I extend my sincerest sympathy to all of you. I have many fond memories of Josephine and your family from years ago when I lived in Stratford. I remember Josephine as a person who always greeted everyone with her radiant smile. She always put others before herself and she was a kind, good, and very generous woman. Josephine loved her family and she often said that her family was her greatest treasure. Everyone knew that she cooked and cooked and cooked. I told her one time that she should have her own cooking channel on television! Please know that all of you are in my thoughts and prayers. I am certain that she is now reaping the benefits of the good life she led on earth. To know her was to love her. May her soul rest in peace.
All of my love to all of you.

My dear dear friend, how can I express the pain and loss I am feeling. I have left every day of your life with you since the summer before college. I know every detail of your life and that I will be forever grateful. There was not a day we didn’t talk whether I was living in Virginia or Florida and you were in Puerto Rico. You always said you never wanted diamonds or furs only whatever you could do for your children, and that you did. A day didn’t pass I didn’t know what you were cooking or how you were making it !!! You loved to relive memories of things we did together like the trips to New York to see our shows , or the lighting of the Christmas tree, or going to dinner at Poor Lads and especially the love with our children going to sleeping giant mountain every Columbus Day.You will forever be in my heart my forever friend I love you so..joy

Josephine most certainly had a blessed life which she passed on to all who knew her. She could have written a book on how to create a wonderful family, as evidenced by the love that was returned to her. She was the salt of the earth
but though she is gone, her spirit will live on in those she loved and will be passed on just as it was meant to. God Bless her family and when life gets hard for them may they draw on her spirit to guide them and pay it forward.
