Maria was a loving, gentle and caring lady. When my wife, Phyllis was sick Maria made herself available to be with her and comfort her. She and her family was loving and kind. Her grandchildren were very important to me and Phyllis always greeting us with a hug and a smile. I will miss her very much. My sincere condolences to her family.

My favorite memory of Maria, aside from just her warmth whenever you saw her, was how at the drop of a hat she could feed a bunch of young people with the most delicious food. Maria and Joe Made me feel so welcome in their home and we all wanted to find some reason to go over and help in the yard or do whatever we could so after we could have that incredible Italian food! The entire Reda family was such a picture of love and what a family should be and Maria was a wonderful matron.

I cherish the whole Reda family and know that they were very blesssed with two of the most amazing parents that lived on this earth. I miss Joe and Maria greatly and am so grateful to have known them and spent time with them. I was able to spend time at their home where they prepared lunches for me as I worked close by to their home. Their hospitality was exemplary. They will be missed.

Dear Lou, Ralph and Robert,
I am sad to hear of your mom’s passing. What an amazing mom she was to the 3 of you and I am sure she was just as amazing as a grandmother. I know your hearts are broken but there is comfort knowing that she is with your dad. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time.

Maria Reda was one of the most loving women I know. She always had a smile, a joyful laugh and a contagious spirit. She was truly an amazing woman of God. Both her and Joe were great cooks and loved to serve the most amazing meals. It was a joy spending time with them. I am so grateful to God to have been blessed to be part of her family. My deepest sympathies to the family. Love you all.

My most sincere condolences to the family. Maria was friends with my sisters, who are older than me, and she used to frequent my parent's house in the Bronx with her sisters. They were all single then, but Maria was engaged. After so many years we met again on Facebook and shared many memories and pictures of Calabria.
Rest in peace sweet, beautiful Maria. So glad we re-connected.

We are very saddened to hear of the passing of our dear friend, Maria. I spoke to her two weeks ago and was glad to hear of the progress she was making. I will now cherish that last phone call. We feel privileged to have been considered a part of the Reda family for the last 43 years and all the memories we have shared together. We know now that Maria will be at peace with the love of her life.
