Obituary of Arlene T. Lumley

Arlene T. Surowiec Lumley, age 85, beloved wife of George T. Lumley of Trumbull, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 7, 2020 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born on July 29, 1934 in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Mary Soliwoda Surowiec. Prior to retirement, Arlene worked as a teacher's aide for many years in the Kings Park School District.

She lived most of her life raising her family in Kings Park, New York before recently moving to Trumbull. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, going to bingo, and nice dinners out with her husband.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be truly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her beloved husband George of 60 years, she is survived by her loving daughter, Linda Ruchalski and her husband Joseph of Trumbull, adored grandchildren, Richard Lumley, Nicole Ernsky and her husband Peter, Emily, Daniel, and Amanda Ruchalski, and a cherished great grandson, George Ernsky. Arlene was predeceased by her son, George S. Lumley.

Due to the concerns about social gatherings affecting us all at this time, funeral and interment services will be held privately for the immediate family at Calverton National Veterans Cemetery, Wading River, New York.
