Obituary of Georgia Karadimos

Georgia Karadimos, age 84, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Dimitrios Karadimos died peacefully on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at Bridgeport Hospital.  Born on July 1, 1935 in Vounihora, Greece, she was a Trumbull resident since 1983.  
 

She was very proud of her Greek heritage and loved to cook and entertain for family and friends. Family was the most important thing to her and always made sure everyone around her was taken care of.  She was a beacon of happiness and always had a smile on her face which she shared with all people whether they were friends or strangers. She always welcomed people into her home with unmatched hospitality especially around the holidays. She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her three loving children, Maria Toussas of Shelton, Efthimios Karadimos of Trumbull, and Stavros Karadimos and his wife, Grace of North Haven; cherished four grandchildren, Evangelia Tsoukatos, Steven Toussas, Georgette Ieraci and Dimitri Karadimos; and three great-grandchildren, Lazaros, Theodora, and Melania; a brother, Vasilios Gioulos and his wife, Evangelia; brother-in-law, Alekos; three sisters-in-law, Eleni, Panagiota and Ioanna; and many nieces and nephews in the United States and Greece.
 

Due to concerns at this time surrounding social gatherings, the funeral service and burial will be held privately at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Trumbull. We thank all doctors, nurses, and staff at Bridgeport Hospital for their great support and hard work.
