Obituary of Dimitrios Karadimos

Dimitrios Karadimos, age 86, of Trumbull, beloved husband of Georgia Karadimos, died peacefully on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born on October 1, 1933 in Greece, he was a Trumbull resident since 1983. He was a retired proprietor of the 91 Diner located in New Haven for more than 20 years and a great clarinet player who brought a lot of joy and happiness with his talent entertaining the Greek community in the Tri-State area and beyond.

In addition to his devoted wife, Georgia, of 67 years, he is survived by his three loving children, Maria Toussas of Shelton, Efthimios Karadimos of Trumbull, and Stavros Karadimos and his wife, Grace of North Haven; cherished grandchildren, Evangelia Tsoukatos, Steven Toussas, Georgette Ieraci, and Dimitri Karadimos; and three great-grandchildren; Lazaros, Theodora and Melania, his brother, Alekos; three sisters, Eleni, Panagiota and Ioanna; brother-in-law, Vasilios Gioulos and his wife, Evangelia; and many nieces and nephews in the United States and in Greece.

Due to concerns at this time surrounding social gatherings, all funeral services and burial will be held privately at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Trumbull. We thank all doctors, nurses, and staff at Bridgeport Hospital for their great support and hard work.
