RIP Uncle George. I have a lifetime of memories with you and my cousins. From family gatherings at your home for holidays - childrens birthday parties and family picnics. Swimming and ice skating at Uncle Walter's pond. You were always there during the hard times too offering a listening ear and emotional support. Love you always❤

We will miss our beloved friend of 40 years, Georgie. The easy pleasure of his company, the genuine and generous warmth of his character and his total lack of pretense made our time with him too short, yet unforgettable. We will remember our hikes, walks and talks, our visits to his home and his generosity. We can barely measure the loss. He will always be in our hearts and thoughts for he was an important part of our lives and we are the better for having known him.

George was a wonderful, kind and generous man. He is my son-in-law's stepfather but was much more than that. For many years I was on vacation with him and Janet and my daughter's children/husband. He loved the Jersey Shore and there were many good conversations on rooftop decks on Long Beach Island while watching the sun set and enjoying drinks - of course!!. George was up for anything and had a lot of energy until recently. And he was a snappy dresser! I've missed seeing him at family functions for the last couple of years. He will truly be missed but he left many good memories behind. Karen Pompea

My uncle George (aka Uncle Playdough to me) was a very special man. He always had great stories to tell and could sit with you for hours and entertain you. He had a special gift like that. He would take us around his property and tell us stories about Indians and animals that we might see. I always got a birthday card from him with words of wisdom and of course a story. I will miss all of you my uncle may you Rest In Peace. My love always your niece Pamela❤️

When Joanne and I separated, George was gracious enough to let me stay in his home until I could find a place of my own. Erica would come and visit and we would sit around and play, read and talk and he always made us feel as if it was part our home too. I remember him getting home fairly late from work and more times than not, he would have fresh corn on the cob and tomatoes for dinner which he always said was his favorite thing. I truly enjoyed the time I got to spend there and I got to know George fairly well and am thankful for that time with him. He shared his knowledge of all kinds of subjects and I always thought how worldly and bright he was. He is now at peace and done with his struggles. My sympathies to his family who too, can now rest knowing he is safe and at peace!
With sadness,
Dave Golden
