Obituary of Gilbert J. Agnoletto
Gilbert "Gil" J. Agnoletto, age 88 of Shelton, beloved husband of Marie DiCostanzo Agnoletto, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, January 20, 2020 with his family by his side. Born on November, 10, 1931 in Bronx, NY, he was a son of the late Peter Agnoletto and Gisella Furlan Agnoletto. Gil served his country with pride in the United States Army during the Korean War and received "award of the commendation ribbon with medal pendant". He worked for many years as a tile layer, most recently with Port Morris Tile prior to his retirement. In his spare time, Gil loved to cook, but above all, his greatest joy was spending countless hours with his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be truly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his wife Marie of 63 years, he is survived by his two adored children, son Peter Agnoletto and his wife Angela of NJ, and daughter Donna Romano and her husband Perry of Trumbull, cherished grandchildren, Nicole Romano, Matt Romano and his fiancé Carley Haden, and Alexander, Samantha, and Rebecca Agnoletto, his beloved sister Helen Toneatto and her husband Sergio of NY, sister in law Marion Agnoletto of NY, and several loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Rudy Agnoletto.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. directly in St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave, Shelton. Interment will follow in Huntington Lawn Cemetery, 268 Huntington Street, Shelton. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday from 4-7 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, CT 06611.
