Carmelina was more than grandmother to me. She made it worthwhile to go to work. I called her every nickname in the book just see her laugh. She was one my favourite Residents and will be missed. I havent been the same at work ever since.

I remember when carmelina first came to the Jewish home we were on Jefferson Street at the time. she was very nervous and I was her first nurse to console her. she meant a lot to all of us and had a special place in my heart. I will miss her dearly. I remember she said I want to see your granddaughter. I told her about my daughter being pregnant and she couldn't wait to see the baby. when I brought Selina in she was full of happiness and couldn't wait to hold her. then a couple of years ago for her birthday party I brought Selina with me and it was a memory that will always be cherished. with my deepest condolences Diane

To Carmelina entire family I was so saddened to hear of Carmelina passing, when I first met Carmelina it was in the old building on Jefferson St, Carmelina and I became really close friends from the first day I met her, she even called me sister. We had lots of good times at the work center along with others residents. Carmelina was a very strong person, she was ill several other times and always came out of it, we couldn't believe it, I believe in my heart it was because of the love and care we gave her, she didn't want to leave us. I am truly sorry for the loss of your Dear mom Louis and Family, you are all in my thoughts and prayers, and may God Bless you all as you morn for your loved one. Carmelina I"ll never forget you, and the great times I had with you at the Work Center, thanks for being such a good and true friend, I am going to miss you alot R.I.P. my friend
