Karlidag was one of the most amazing people I had ever met and never failed to make me smile! In fact every room he was in always lit up! He called me his beautiful broken princess and to this day I’ll never understand why! Damien had the most pure sole and because of that he will always have a special place in my heart

Karlidag was my bunkmate in Basic Training for the Army. He was a weird guy. Weird in the way that all the guys (and girls) quickly learnt if you wanted to have a weird and laugh your butt off conversation talk to or be around Karlidag. Him and I talked a lot, being bunk mates and all. In a short 9 weeks I got to know him like I had known someone for years. He had his self doubts and I was there for him when he needed it, not that there wasn’t plenty of times I needed him there for my own self. I can honestly say I loved him, and was far from the only one who did. Rest easy, man.

I remember him as a very funny guy. He was sweet, kind, and so patient. I remember how my family went out on the river with Vallillos so we could go jet skiing during the summer a couple years back.. He was a great person to spend time with. I'm so sorry to see him go.
