Obituary of Tina M. Katz

Tina M. Comeaux Katz, age 73, of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 4, 2008 in Newtown, surrounded by her loving family at her daughters home. Born in Biloxi, Mississippi on March 25, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Lelia Badeuax Comeaux and was a resident of Little Neck, NY before moving to Bridgeport nine years ago. Ms. Katz was a communicant of St. Andrew Church in Bridgeport where she was a Eucharistic Minister and active member of the choir. She was a loving mother and grandmother whose greatest joys in life were her grandchildren. Tina also took great pleasure in participating in many religious events such as the Curcio Movement and other various retreats. Tina possessed an incredible sense of humor and a hearty and infectious laugh that will be missed by all. Survivors include her son, Ron Katz of New Port Richey, FL; her two daughters, Lori Epstein and her husband Rich of Trumbull, Wendy Verga and her husband Marco of Newtown; a sister Jeannie Comeaux of Ocean Springs, MS; and seven grandchildren, Scott, Shana and Jared Epstein, Justin and Rachele Katz and Joseph and Kayla Verga. She was predeceased by brothers Chester and Dave and a sister Dorothy. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Andrew Church, 435 Anton St., Bridgeport, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
