Obituary of George R. Johnson

Shelton Resident George R. Johnson, Jr., age 64, of Shelton, died on Sunday, May 4, 2008 in Bridgeport Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Stamford on May 13, 1943 and was pre-deceased by his father, George Robert Johnson Sr., his mother Grace Hope Johnson, both of Stamford, CT and his two sisters, Jean Cantin of Provincetown, MA and Nancy McCarty of Austin, TX. He worked for 20 years as an accountant at Bunker Ramo and most recently worked with H. H. Brown. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Gloria Conklin Johnson, his son Geoffrey Johnson and his wife Robin of Seymour and his daughter Kimberly Izzo and her husband Greg of Higganum. He is also survived by five wonderful grandchildren whom he loved very much, Riley, Griffin, Kelti, Trevor and Tessa. George was a good man who was an avid reader and loved sports and music. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Funeral Information Relatives and friends can greet the family on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 from 4-8 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. All other services will take place at the convenience of the family.
