I was so saddened to learn of Matt’s passing. Since we relocated to Wisconsin, I am not able to attend the services, but I will be thinking and praying for Matt and all of my Wallace cousins. May Matt Rest In Peace.

I’m Matt’s roommate and best friend here in California, I truly miss him but knowing he is now at peace brings me comfort. He helped me by letting me help him,he always made me laugh and that’s what I loved the most and his bluntness. We would argue about who was smarter. He will be very much missed here by many. I wish I could attend his service tomorrow.But I will be there in spirit, prayers for the Wallace family and lots of love.

To Rob, Gail, Pete, Nanette, Michael and the Wallace family, We’re so saddened to hear the news of Matt’s untimely death. Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you. My most vivid memories of Matt are when he was young.....when we were all young. “Mattie”, as we called him, was affectionate and lovable with a great laugh and and lots of questions. I’m grateful to have had the chance to see Matt in July of 2017 at Bob’s funeral. I cherish that memory. Although we didn’t see enough of each other in later years, he and all of you, are always in my heart. I am so sorry I can’t be with you for the services. We’re in Florida but you’ll be in my prayers. I know that Matt is at peace now and surrounded by all who’ve gone before. Rest In Peace dear cousin! Love you all. Nancy (Fitzpatrick) Gallagher

To Matt's brothers and family, I met Matt while working at Merrill Lynch back in 1990 or so.. There was nothing phony about Matt. He was straight forward, fun loving and smart. I immediately liked him. Though he traveled a rocky road since that time, he was always a friend and we kept in touch throughout the years. I'm going to miss him but I'll take solace in my many memories of great times together that make me smile to this day. Often when ending a phone call with him he would end with "I love you bro." I used to answer that I don't say that to other guys --now I wish I did. Rest in peace my friend. I love you bro.
