Obituary of Theresa R. Rosarbo

Theresa R. DePonte Rosarbo, age 100, of New Haven passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late John Rosarbo. Born in New Haven on July 18, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna Scalese DePonte. Mrs. Rosarbo worked in the garment industry for Alba Dress, formerly of New Haven for over 20 years before her retirement. She had a very outgoing personality and was loved by all, which was evident from the many cherished friendships she gained through her time at Newtown Rehab. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who will be missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her loving children, Vincent Rosarbo of New Haven and Dolores Palmisano and her husband Joseph of Monroe, her cherished grandson, John Paul Palmisano, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband John, Theresa was also predeceased by her grandson, Rev. Joseph R. Palmisano, S.J. and three brothers, Alphonse, Dominic and Charles DePonte.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 8, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Jude Church, Monroe for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven. Friends may greet the family at the funeral home on Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
