Obituary of Carmela M. Marchetti

Carmela M. Mastronardi Marchetti, 99 years old, of Bridgeport passed away on Friday, January 18, 2019 at Lord Chamberlain with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Peter G. Marchetti. Born in Bridgeport on January 28, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Archangelo and Antonia Trombetta Mastronardi. Carmela loved to laugh and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include two loving sons, Joseph Marchetti of Cornwall Bridge, CT and Peter Marchetti and his wife Constance of Pound Ridge, NY, a brother, Michael Mastronardi of Bridgeport, a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Moretti of Warren and four grandchildren, Bianca Marchetti of Saugus, MA, Joshua Marchetti and his wife AnnMarie of Bethel, CT, Zachary Marchetti and his wife Alicia of Sandy Hook, CT and Olivia Marchetti and her fiancé Erick Falcon of Pound Ridge, NY as well as a cherished great grandson, Maximiliano. She was predeceased by her brother, Enrico Mastronardi, and sisters, Mary Salce and Ann McNeice.

Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Margaret Shrine, 2523 Park Ave., Bridgeport on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
