Dear Nancy and family – I was so sad to hear this news. I was fortunate to work closely with Jan for over 3 years earlier in my career at KPMG. Today I am a partner in the firm, and that is in no small part due to the mentorship and guidance I received from Jan. My heart goes out to all of you. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

So very sorry for the loss of this wonderful man. I remember two occasions of Mr. Nagel having dinner with the clients and staff at BMWC, 70th Street. He was like a Poppa having dinner with us. My dear friend and Program Director at the time, Debbie Jonnes would also share with me how fond she was of times at his home, and how very great he was, and how lovely his wife and daughter were. I promise to pray for your family. Vivian Hernandez

Our thoughts and prayers are extended to Nancy and the rest of Jan's family. It was an honor serving with him on board of directors for Goodwin Rescue Mission and Bowery Mission. Jan was a man of faith, honor, and compassion who will be greatly missed.

To Jan’s family
I worked with Jan for years when I was at Pepsi. To say he was a man of integrity is an understatement. Jan and I worked together in some very tumultuous times at Pepsi international. Not once did he waiver from ever advising, guiding or leading us to the appropriate answer and outcome. When in doubt, ask Jan, the accounting team would say.
In a lifetime in a professional career one should be so blessed to come across a man like Jan. A man you can learn from and model a professional career after.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Jan’s family in this most difficult time. You have been blessed to have had him in your lives.

Growing up with cousin Jan, I watched him become the man he was. Instilled with values and morals and a strong faith by his parents. He will be missed.

Every memory I have of Jan involved laughter and his trickery. He loved to joke and play. I was also a member of the esteemed "baby club." Thanks for all the fun and laughter.
