Obituary of Alvine Gabrielle Falvey

Gabrielle Gagnon Falvey, age 92, of Fairfield, beloved wife of 66 years to the late Earle M. Falvey, Jr., passed away on Monday, September 17, 2018 at her home. Born in Bridgeport on January 27, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Lewis Philip Gagnon (of Quebec, Canada) and Gabriella Jackson Gagnon.

Gabrielle graduated from Central High School and worked at the City Lumber Co. for 30 years. A longtime resident of Fairfield, she sang in the Sacred Heart Church Choir and the Fairfield Community Chorus for many years. She enjoyed playing tennis, bowling and was an avid ballroom dancer with the Charumba Club as well as many other clubs. She was a member of Subvett's American Veterans' Auxiliary, the Stratford, Fairfield and Derby Senior Centers and the Sikorsky Retiree's Friends Club.

She is survived by her brother-in-law, Thomas Jordan of Madison, a dear friend, Mindi Zarrillo of Guilford and many special friends. She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.

A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 12:00 noon directly in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Services have been entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, Trumbull.
