I knew him for a short time when he bought the house on Cornhill. I was his realtor. He didn"t need to be sold or persuaded: he knew what he liked and was willing to go ahead with it. I vividly remember a few things: he described to me how simple it was to make cowboy/hobo coffee; that he would rather cut the grass than clean the kitchen; that he had a vast collection of keys - house and auto and if anyone got locked out, "they knew where to turn for a key that might fit". He talked, he enjoyed life, he liked people. I never forgot him: he has left a lasting impression.

Joanne and family, We offer our heartfelt condolences to you all. Your family was a big part of our family for many years. You guys were great neighbors and I remember your Dad as always being quiet, humble, and a true gentleman. God Bless you all. You are in our hearts and prayers.

My sincere condolences to the Misinonile Family and loved ones. This was a beautifully written obituary. Joe was a great storyteller. He always had very interesting stories of his younger years when he was in the military. You didn't need a history book after listening to his stories about WWII, they were better than any history book. He visited my family weekly and attended all the family events. When I was a young boy I remember the loud laughs coming from the kitchen. My Mom and Dad loved having your Dad over. Great memories as a kid. It is sad those days cannot be replicated. Everyone today has busy lives and less time to spend at home.
The last time I saw Joe was at my Mothers funeral in 2014. We gave him a ride to the church and restaurant afterward. We had some laughs and spoke of the past. It made my day.
Thank you, Joe, for all the great memories with our family. May God be with you.

My dearest Joey, you are one of my favorite first cousins, but became "Uncle Joey" after you became my son William's GodFather; it was your choice for us to call you 'Uncle'. To me that was natural as from the time I was about 3 yrs old, and you were coming home on leave from the US Army, I ran up the hill to meet you at the bus stop to wait for you to disembark in your uniform. I loved you then and love you now! There is so much I can say, all the wonderful times; dancing together at Weddings, baptisms, anniversaries, birthdays, all encompassing wonderful and fun times with you. Dinners at my house at least once or twice a month, fun and laughter always with JoAnn, Evan, Lauren, Kevin, beautiful memories. The beautiful ceremony where you received awards, our dinner later, our pride in the honorable man you were. I could go on and on with many great memories and happy times, my daughter and son adored you as do John and I. Rest in God's Heaven, you earned your time in the light, Thank you for honoring our Nation, for honoring my family and for our many years of sharing and love to us all...and from us all. Love you always, Rose Marie and John Marmolejo
