Obituary of Mary Criscione

Mary Blundo Criscione, age 96, of Fairfield, beloved wife of the late John Criscione, passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at home with her family by her side. Born in New York, NY on December 6, 1921, she was a daughter of the late George and Marie Minardi Blundo and was a longtime resident of Fairfield.

Throughout her life, Mary was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed time with her family, spending winters in Florida and was an amazing cook. Mary will be remembered fondly by all who knew her. 

Survivors include her daughter, Joanne Hilbert and her husband Ken of Plantation, Fl, six loving grandchildren, Mark Criscione and his wife Holly, Beth Criscione, Sarah Grieb and her husband Brian, Joseph, Jesse and Jake Szymansky, two cherished great grandchildren, Samatha and Alexander Criscione and a son-in-law, Edward Szymansky of Shelton as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, John Criscione, Jr. and a daughter, Janet Szymansky

Friends are invited to meet directly in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Rd., Fairfield on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial.  Interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield.  Friends may greet the family on Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Connecticut Hospice 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405.
